Rebecca Liu-Brennan 0:12
Now today we are talking to you guys about you putting yourself out there more to your community to your clients, and really being the face of your brand. Absolutely.
Amanda Barr 0:21
As the studio owner, we have all been guilty of trying to hide a little bit in the background, right? We've all done that. But more and more so people want to buy from people not from brands like let's talk about the skims Kim Kim Kardashian brand, right? Is it skims whereby? Or is it Kim Kardashians products, usually it actually has to do with the person, not the brand. So you need to think about that as well in your marketing and how you put yourself across to your clients.
Rebecca Liu-Brennan 0:49
Absolutely. Now I know lots of you out there going no, there's no way I could ever, you know, get on video and talk or do any of the things. And we've worked with a lot of our studio owner clients with this and we get how hard it is, I really do. But what I can say to you is the more you do it, the easier it gets. You know, Amanda and I, we found this really hard when we first started. And now like it's so easy now because we do it all the time. And it's like anything, it's just practice

just getting good at something we tell our kids to put themselves out there. So you need to put yourself out there as well. So this could look like jumping on your stories and speaking direct to camera, you talking about? Hey, it's Miss Amanda here. I'm the director. This is why I do what I do. This is what I love, you know, talking about enrollments talking about whatever it is that's coming up in your studio, but actually you saying it in your words, rather than it just being a no faced brand. Right?
Rebecca Liu-Brennan 1:42
Yeah. And like, how often do we hear this with studio owners where, you know, we know that you're not about necessarily creating amazing dancers and blah, blah, but you're about making a difference in children's lives, you're about so much more than dance, we always talk about this. But then you don't put that out there. You don't tell people why your concerts different or why your classes are different or why something that you guys do we know is super special. And we know that you're making a difference in kids lives. But you're probably not telling that story. Absolutely. And it's so much easier to, for it to come across. Yeah, when you're speaking the words on either written, it never has the same meaning it doesn't have the same feeling people want to hear from you. You are the studio owner, they want to hear from you. So put yourself out there on video, you know, and just sort of start that process. Try a story today.

But you know, if you're also a studio owner that teaches a lot and is in the studio a lot, it means that you're not actually getting a chance to see your current clients either, right? Because you are just always in that studio rotating through the kids. So you need to find ways to connect with your current clients in a different way. Right, right. And I think this is a game
Rebecca Liu-Brennan 2:49
changer, guys. Because no one reads emails anymore. I don't read them. You don't read them. We don't read them, right, because we don't have time. And then we get angry that our parents haven't seen the email that didn't read it properly. But if you do some videos for your parents and said, they're much more likely to read it, they're much more likely to listen to what you've got to say. And I'm not just saying do videos on emails, you should be doing videos on Hey guys, today in class, we talked about this and we talked about self worth or we talked about whatever you're talking to your kids about if you can share that. That's just such a game changer and it makes your parents so much more invested in your brand. Absolutely. And in
Amanda Barr 3:26
you. Yeah, because that's what it's about. Right? They're buying from you. So yeah, jump on after class post in the band, tell them about what they learned. Tell them about the great moment of that student who finally nailed the pillow at whatever happened in class today. Tell the parents about it. If it's lead up to concert time, jump on a video and talk to your parents about why your concert is the way it is and why you do what you're what you do. So think about it both for your current clients and for potential new clients in your Instagram or your Facebook marketing as well. Absolutely guys,
Rebecca Liu-Brennan 3:58
